Description

Baili Bridge is located approximately 6 kilometers downstream of Cangxi County, with a total length of 1,015 meters. The main bridge is a prestressed concrete, double-tower, double-cable-plane cable-stayed bridge with arch-shaped towers, featuring a span arrangement of 118+240+118m. The bridge towers are 95.9 meters high, and the bridge deck is 32 meters wide. Designed as a four-lane highway bridge with two-way traffic, the project adopted a cantilever construction method using underslung form travelers.

The main towers of Baili Bridge feature spatial arch-shaped structures with double-curved inner and outer profiles, with a maximum inclination angle of approximately 29°. Their distinctive and complex design resembles two giant kiwifruits, reflecting Cangxi's identity as the “Hometown of Red-Fleshed Kiwifruit.” As a result, Baili Bridge serves not only as an important transportation facility but also as a distinctive landmark along the Jialing River.

During the balanced cantilever construction of the main girder, Shandong Boyoun Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. supplied the project with underslung form travelers, providing essential construction equipment support for the segment-by-segment cantilever construction of the main girder of this long-span cable-stayed bridge.

Baili Bridge will bring an end to the area's long-standing reliance on ferry crossings, significantly reduce travel times for residents on both sides of the river, and provide safer, faster, and more convenient transportation. It will also create new momentum and opportunities for implementing the strategy of building a strong industrial county, accelerating integrated urban-rural development, and promoting coordinated development within the Langzhong–Cangxi–Nanbu region.”
