Description

The Dabi River Bridge on the Tianbao (Port) to Malipo Expressway is located in Malipo County, Yunnan Province. It is a deep-valley river-crossing high-pier long-span continuous rigid frame bridge. The bridge has a total length of 580 meters. The main bridge adopts a 80+150+80m prestressed concrete continuous rigid frame to cross the Nanwen River, constructed by Boyoun form traveler cantilever casting.

The bridge is built in a deep V-shaped canyon, with piers on both sides standing on a steep slope of nearly 70°. The highest main pier is 120.5 meters. In response to the strong wind environment in the canyon, the form traveler design focuses on the load conditions when encountering strong winds in the non-operation state and the stability coefficient of the main framework under strong winds.  

The front front joist suspension system uses 25×180mm suspension belts (Q355b), and other suspension system uses 40Cr material steel bars to ensure the safety of form traveler construction.

The project is only more than 10 kilometers away from Tianbao Port on the China-Vietnam border and is closely connected with the Malipo Hero Laoshan Holy Land Scenic Area. Boyoun engineers have transformed the belief in arduous struggle into actions of constructing roads and prospering the border. They provided on-site guidance for multiple links such as form traveler assembly and walking, and carried out irregular safety inspections during the use of form travelers to ensure the safe, orderly, and efficient construction of the project.

The high-pier and long-span construction technology system formed during the bridge construction provides important references for similar bridge projects in mountainous areas of Southwest China. After completion, the project will significantly shorten the travel time from Tianbao Port to Malipo County, boost the further improvement of regional economic development, and play an important role in promoting the Western Development and the "Belt and Road" strategy, as well as enhancing internal and external connectivity with surrounding regions and countries.
