China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group Co., Ltd.'s package 4 of Weifang-Suqian High-speed Railway to Qingdao Connection Line Project, located in Wulian County, Rizhao City, Shandong Province. Boyoun cantilever form travelers have been used in the construction of the Qiangkuang Reservoir Bridge, the continuous beam over Provincial Highway 222, and the rotating T-structure spanning the Jiaozhou-Xinyi Railway in this project.
Qiangkuang Reservoir Mega Bridge
Continuous Beam Over Provincial Highway 222
Swivel T-structure Over the Jiaozhou-Xinyi Railway
Qiangkuang Reservoir Mega Bridge features a concrete continuous beam with a main span arrangement of 48+80+48 meters. Due to the mere 10cm gap between this bridge and the adjacent bridge, our design incorporates travel along the guide beam to address the issue of insufficient flange spacing.
Additionally, we've added a shaft sleeve between the lower suspension and the slings to eliminate lateral slippage of the suspender and the effects of non-vertical alignment with the upper beam suspension points.
The swivel T-structure over the Jiaoxin Railway has a total length of 129.5 meters, featuring a single-box, single-cell variable-depth cross-section with straight webs. The entire structure is divided into 21 segments, with the heaviest segment weighing 249.24 tons and the longest segment measuring 6 meters. Boyoun specially designed and fabricated structures such as the rhombic frame, guide beam, and bottom stringer to accommodate the construction of this bridge.
To ensure smooth project execution, Boyoun provides professional and ongoing on-site services, including guidance during critical phases such as form traveler assembly and movement, as well as multiple safety inspections during operation.
The Weifang-Suqing High-Speed Railway to Qingdao Connection Line is a link between the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway Auxiliary Corridor and the Coastal Corridor, both part of China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed rail network. Upon completion, the project will establish a fast north-south passage connecting the Jiaodong Peninsula with the Yangtze River Delta and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Horizontally, it will link the northern coastal areas of Shandong Province, the Ji'nan-Qingdao High-Speed Rail Corridor, and the Rizhao-Lankao High-Speed Rail Corridor. This will support and drive Shandong's high-quality economic and social development while providing efficient and convenient travel for the public.
